The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to information literacy, the community college mission, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Candidates should have the ability to teach in face-to-face and/or hybrid modalities and participate in on-campus librarian work. Librarians at Green River College design, teach, and assess information literacy one-shot and credit-bearing classes as a major part of their work. They provide face-to-face and online reference to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Full-time librarians liaise with instructional divisions in pre-college through Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) programs; and individual librarians take the lead on new and ongoing projects such as physical and electronic collection development, Ex Libris Alma/Primo, OER, and the library website. They also take leadership roles in library outreach, online learning, and campus-wide initiatives. Faculty librarians are members of the Humanities Division.
Holman Library is committed to building a culturally diverse and culturally competent library team.
